Joseph Hughes of McMichael HS in Madison NC has pitched himself into the Major League Draft picture! Hughes, the East Carolina Signee, is a 6'4 230 lb RHP that has seen his velocity jump to the 92-93 range in recent weeks. This past week he impressed MLB scouts from close to 25 organizations with a 1 hit 17 K performance that has sky rocketed him up the board of pitching prospect in the state of NC. Joseph is just not a thrower put a young pitcher with superb control and feel for three quality pitches. Size and pitchability make Hughes a prospect to follow in the coming weeks as he continues to dominate hitters in leading his team to the state playoffs.
